This course is unique to SafetyRecap & satisfies the NSW Resources Regulator’s requirement for a minimum of 7 hours formal learning in Disasters (as per Gov’t Gazette 16/11/22).
Analysis of General Causal Factors
Attendees receive instruction identifying the "General Causal Factors" that lead to incidents.
In particular, course participants are trained in the practical application of the "Primary Duty of Care" elements & "Hierarchy of Risk Control Measures" found in the WHS Act.
This approach allows participants to clearly identify failed, or absent, risk control measures.

Advanced Causal Considerations
Attendees are given further training in the role Human & Organisational Factors play in the occurrence of serious mining incidents.
Applying the learnings to Underground Coal Mining incidents allows participants to readily identify the control measures needed to prevent serious incidents from occurring at their workplace.
